#2 The crowd was heavily edited
Gone are the days of SmackDown being recorded on a Tuesday night and then airing a few days later on a Thursday or Friday, which means that much of the time the WWE Universe is seeing the crowd's reaction to the show live.
Last night the show was pre-recorded because the United Kingdom has a five-hour time difference from the United States. This gave the company enough time to edit out any glaring errors, re-tape any segments and of course edit crowd reactions if they didn't fit in with the story the company was trying to tell.
This was perhaps the most apparent when King Corbin was cutting his promo at the top of the show, the King is seen as a heel right now and is going up against Roman Reigns for the foreseeable future, but the crowd in Manchester didn't seem to hate him all that much.
The boos sounded somewhat mechanical for Corbin throughout the promo, which means that maybe a face turn for The Lone Wolf could work in the future if the United Kingdom has already accepted him.
