Kofi Kingston was on fire once upon a time when the crowd urged the creative team to put the WWE Championship around his waist. Since then, he has been a prominent fixture on WWE SmackDown but has never been able to regain the same level of success as he once did ever since.
Now that he is no longer the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion, he can certainly mix it up with the Intercontinental Champion, AJ Styles in a variety of exciting matches. But the best part is that so can Big E, who has always been hailed as a star with a lot of promise but never given the right opportunities.
Some time away from the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship picture may actually be a good thing for The New Day. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura can carry the division on their sturdy backs with Heavy Machinery.
What do you guys think the WWE SmackDown side of things will look like, at the SummerSlam 2020 pay-per-view?
