Baron Corbin has been on WWE's main roster for a number of years. He was able to survive as a main roster superstar for several years before his King of the Ring win.
This storyline has made it appear as though Corbin was only being paid by WWE whilst he was King Corbin and now all of his payments have been taken away.
The only way this story could make sense is if Corbin was living beyond his means whilst he was the King. So when the crown was taken away, the former Champion was put back on much less pay and now he's unable to afford the luxuries that he once had.

That being said, it's been more than a year and if the pay increase was so much, he should have been able to buy his house and his car rather than having them on a lease.
This man could afford a $40,000 watch but not a $200,000 house?
