Sure, you could say that Seth Rollins coming to WWE SmackDown from RAW was a surprise and not necessarily an unpleasant one, but we know that he will continue his feud with Dominik and Rey Mysterio from how the cards lined up. And yes, Otis being on a different brand from Mandy Rose is a strange development as well, but at the same time, Otis has been on WWE SmackDown and Mandy Rose has been on RAW for some time now. To be honest, the only real headline from WWE Draft 2020 was the dissolution of The New Day.

After The New Day won the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships and Big E won his big match as well, it seemed like a certainty that they would be on the same brand, going forward. Only it was a ruse. And a good one.
