The King Corbin gimmick should have been dropped a long time ago. While the sight of Baron Corbin carrying a crown, a scepter, and adorning a cape made sense for a little while, it's been many months since the 'King of the Ring' tournament. Now, the gimmick just seems quite redundant.
However, now that King Corbin has his own subjects, one has to wait and see where WWE is going with this particular gimmick. Cutler and Blake may have just added a little more longevity to what has been a very one-dimensional character.
This criticism is not a knock at the man himself, who is a great hand in the ring. He can get heat like nobody's business, too. Corbin has proved time and again why he's a star who's earned his spot in the roster. In fact, the 'End of Days' is one of the most protected moves in the entire WWE SmackDown roster for very good reason. Corbin just needs to freshen up his character, and this week, he did.
What do you think of King Corbin and his two new subjects?
