Big E had been stuck in a mid-card, non-serious role for so long that despite his Hall of Fame worthy tag team run with The New Day, people wondered if he had the intensity, the fire, and the believability to become the face of WWE SmackDown or a future WWE Universal Champion, when he embarked on his singles run. Lo and behold, Big E proved to the world that he does indeed have the seriousness to be that top dog that he was meant to be, with his actions this week on WWE SmackDown. With all due respect to Kofi Kingston, Big E could become the breakout star of The New Day, in due course of time, because he truly is the real deal, as he keeps proving on WWE SmackDown time and time again.
He wasn't the only star to return to WWE SmackDown, because Sasha Banks addressed the attack from Bayley with a promo.
Both of these segments were pretty awesome, all around.
