Almas' main roster run till now has been forgettable at best. Although an amazing in-ring talent, he has been embroiled in a pointless feud with Rusev over the past few months.

But this week's SmackDown was a step in the right direction for the former NXT Champion as he took on Daniel Bryan. Both men have the ability to steal the show on any given night and they were certainly doing so on the show before The Miz's untimely interference.
That though was not a bad thing as it masterfully managed to protect the reputation of all the competitors involved while advancing the storyline between The Miz and Bryan at the same time.
Almas will surely have turned a few heads with his performance against Bryan this week and the fans can expect bigger and better things from the Mexican superstar in the future.
