No Mercy is just a few days away and WWE will be looking to build up for the pay-per-view in the latest edition of SmackDown Live. Last week saw some huge developments as WWE booked a career vs. title match between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz for No Mercy which was followed up with a solid main event between Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles.
The fallout of these storylines would be the major focus of the show this week around and along with this, WWE would be looking to further stack the No Mercy card. With that said, here are the possible segments that we could expect from SmackDown Live this week.

More stipulations to be added?
The Dolph Ziggler vs. Miz match at No Mercy deserves to be pushed as a top feud. While the casual fans would simply push it aside as just another mid card championship match, it definitely has the potential to turn out to be an instant classic at No Mercy. We’ve been witnessing the brilliance of Miz for a long time now and it would be showcased fully when these two lock horns at the pay-per-view.
There are rumours about the match taking place inside a steel cage and with the involvement of Maryse in recent matches, it wouldn’t be surprising if Daniel Bryan decides to make it so this week. The Cage will elevate this feud to an entirely different level.
The cryptic messages continue
Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt find themselves in a curious situation. This feud was a dream scenario for most of the fans at one point, but the time slot in which it happened has everyone scratching their heads. Orton is coming off an embarrassing defeat to Brock Lesnar while Bray Wyatt’s career is still going through a tough phase due to WWE’s booking decisions.
Both the superstars desperately need a win to remain afloat and this makes it hard for WWE to make a decision at No Mercy. The fans wouldn’t like to see either of them suffer a defeat but expect the feud to move forward this week with some mind games.
More matches for No Mercy?
The current No Mercy card has five matches. As an average WWE pay-per-view has around seven or eight, the show still has room to add new matches to the mix. The tag team division and the women’s division could perhaps contribute the same. American Alpha wouldn’t want to miss out on the pay-per-view time as they are being groomed for a big push. A match with Ascension seems likely for these two after their defeat last week.
The situation between Nikki Bella, Carmella, Natalya and Naomi could also be made into a match by WWE as two women’s matches on the pay-per-view elevates the division altogether.
Becky out to settle a score
The SmackDown Women’s championship will be on the line at No Mercy as Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss would face off against each other. With what happened last night on Raw, the women’s division of SmackDown has some pressure to deliver this week and they could do exactly this if WWE books the right segment.
Last week, Alexa ambushed Becky Lynch once again and before they enter No Mercy, Becky would want to go in with the upper hand. Expect the cat and mouse game between these two to continue on SmackDown but at the same time, WWE could try to give out something better compared to the past few weeks considering the limelight that Sasha and Charlotte got on Raw.
The three-way trade
Dean Ambrose, John Cena and AJ Styles have been trading blows ever since their triple threat match for No Mercy was announced. Last week, it was John Cena that had the upper hand over his counterparts as Cena successfully raised the WWE championship high over the fallen Ambrose and Styles. It was Cena that cost Ambrose the title match as well, opening the door for the Lunatic Fringe to seek revenge.
There are no doubts regarding the quality of the match that these three are going to put together at No Mercy but as far as this week is concerned, WWE would love to add more ingredients to this storyline.
