The Queen makes her demands known
Charlotte Flair started by saying that it has been 7 days since she came to SmackDown Live, and she has run out of patience. She cut an entitled promo asking why she hasn’t already been granted a SmackDown Women’s Championship match. The champion Naomi then made her way out. The champion said that on the blue brand, there are no Kings or Queens, but there are champions.
Naomi said that she hated to see Charlotte begging the way she did. Naomi said she wasn’t wasting any time and would give her what she what she wanted. She laid out the title on the ring and then attacked Charlotte, clearing the ring. Out came the commissioner Shane McMahon. He told Charlotte that she would have to earn her title shot by facing Naomi in a non-title match later in the night. If she won, she would become the #1 contender.
After Shane had left, Charlotte came in and attacked Naomi and lifted the title, but the champion was quick to come back in and clear the ring.
Natalya was in Shane McMahon’s office complaining that she was the only one who should be getting a title opportunity. Carmella along with James Ellsworth and said that she said that she agreed with Natalya. Ellsworth butted in and said that Carmella was the only one who deserved to be the face of the SmackDown Live Women’s division.
Six Pack Challenge – WWE Championship #1 contenders match
The challengers broke up into pairs of 3 squaring off. It didn’t take long for the action to go outside, but there were always two competitors inside the ring, Harper being one of them. Sami hit Jinder with a sunset flip power bomb, and Ziggler hit the superkick on Sami and Harper, but Harper countered with a discus clothesline. Harper used the momentum and hit the tope suicida outside the ring.
Rowan threw Ziggler onto everyone outside. Jinder was the closest to getting the pinfall, with a near fall on Ziggler, which was broken up by Zayn. Rowan was nearly pinned after a Zig-Zag by Ziggler, but he kicked out. Inside the ring, Sami Zayn was ready to finish off Jinder with the Helluva kick, but his legs were held back by the Bollywood Boyz, who made their debut. Jinder unexpectedly finished Zayn to become the #1 contender. It seems like Jinder and The Bollywood Boyz have formed a new stable.
Jinder Mahal became the new #1 contender for the WWE championship
Jinder Mahal cut a promo after the match lashing back at the crowd, vowing to become the next WWE champion. Randy Orton then came out and congratulated him. He said that Jindal's prize wouldn’t be the WWE Championship, but an RKO. He said that he had another thorn on the side was Bray Wyatt and vowed to burn down the house of horrors.
Wyatt then cut a promo in the lit room where he normally cuts promos. It was a standard Bray Wyatt promo.

AJ Styles was interviewed backstage and said that it didn’t matter whether he faced Owens or Jericho for the US title and that he had the home field advantage on SmackDown Live. Baron Corbin interrupted and had a back and forth with Baron Corbin. They agreed to a match later on.
Charlotte Flair was walking backstage and ran into Natalya, Tamina, and Carmella(along with James Ellsworth) and they confronted The Queen. Charlotte then walked through them.
Charlotte Flair vs Naomi – If Charlotte won, she would become #1 contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair started hammering the champion with stomps in the corner of the ring and then flung her away. Naomi managed to gain control on The Queen, but the athletic ability of Charlotte saw her doing a summersault and sweeping her legs under, taking control of the champion once again.
The athletic ability of the two saw them matched, with Naomi hitting a hurricanrana to the former RAW Women’s Champion and sending her outside. After the commercial break, it was Charlotte who ha the advantage, countering a pinfall attempt by Naomi. The champion got control with a modified stunner, and hit a crossbody on Charlotte, but couldn’t get the win.
Naomi’s attempted Rear view, but countered it into the natural selection to win and become #1 contender.

American Alpha vs The Colons
Charlotte came across Natalya, Tamina, and Carmella once more backstage, and said “Woooo!” while proudly walking away.
American Alpha started the match outwrestling the Colon family descendants. Gable seemed to have landed a good suplex, but Epico ensured that the referee was distracted and didn’t count the pin.
Primo & Epico did manage to get some offence in but continued to be outwrestled. Primo hit an enzuigiri outside onto Jordan, and Epico pinned him for the win with a roll-up.

The first ever Kevin Owens Face of America Open Challenge
Before the match, Tye Dillinger was interviewed backstage by Dasha Fuentes and asked about the response of the WWE Universe. He signalled a video package showcasing Tye Dillinger’s journey to the main roster. He told Dasha that that’s why they called him the Perfect Ten.
Owens made his way out for the first ever Kevin Owens Face Of America Open Challenge. Owens grabbed the mic from Greg Hamilton, refusing to let him introduce him. He bragged about being the champion of the USA from Montreal, Canada. He asked his opponent to introduce himself, who said his name was “ Gary Gandy, from Louisville, Kentucky”. Since he was an enhancement talent, the match ended in seconds.
Kevin Owens defeated Gary Gandy
Kevin Owens cut a promo about being the face of America, and no one was going to take that away from him. He said he would be at the commentary table for the main event between AJ Styles and Baron Corbin.
Baron Corbin vs AJ Styles
AJ started off with his fluid movements evading Corbin. The crowd as usually was behind The Phenomenal One. Corbin’s physical dominance was matched by AJ’s pace until he slammed the former WWE champion face first on the apron.
During the commercial break, AJ Styles received a lariat from The Lone Wolf, who continued to have control even after. Every time Styles tried striking back, Corbin imposed his physical presence. Corbin’s over-aggressiveness led to him running into the ring post. After some more offence by Corbin, Styles managed to get the calf crusher, but Corbin managed to reach the ropes.
Styles dropped Corbin outside the ring with a forearm followed by a strike by the legs. Styles started down at Owens as he seemed positioned for the Styles Clash. Corbin lifted him up and took out Kevin Owens. Right outside, Styles knocked Corbin over the barricade. He made it back in the ring in time for the count and won by count out.
AJ Styles defeated Baron Corbin by count out.
AJ Styles celebrated to close the show.
