Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul had a contract signing segment during the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown ahead of their upcoming bout at WWE King and Queen of the Ring, which is set to take place later this month.
During SmackDown last week, both competitors hinted that their upcoming match would be a Champion vs Champion showdown, with both the Undisputed WWE Championship and the United States Championship potentially on the line, adding a layer of unpredictability to the bout.
However, this week's contract signing may have worsened the situation. Logan Paul brought his own contract to the table, and as a result, the match in Saudi Arabia will now only be for Cody Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship.
Rhodes, who recently won the title at WrestleMania 40 last month, is expected to hold onto the championship for some time. Hence, making the outcome of the match against Logan Paul quite predictable.
Former WWE star predicts the match finish of Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul
When it was announced last week that Logan Paul would be taking on Cody Rhodes in a Champion vs Champion match, hinting that both titles might be on the line, many fans speculated that the match could end in Disqualification to ensure both competitors remained champions.
However, former WWE star Aiden English disagrees. He stated that there was no chance a Premium Live Event would end in a disqualification, especially given the importance of these Saudi shows for the company.
"[I don't think this is gonna end in a person's shoulders being pinned to the mat.] 100% it will. There's zero shot they end a pay-per-view on a DQ. You do not end a major pay-per-view, in which I consider the Saudi ones major," Aiden English said.
It will be interesting to see if Logan Paul can cause a monumental upset and dethrone The American Nightmare, becoming a double champion.
