Right before the match started, Dillinger began an attack on Orton. The brawl went on to the outside and Dillinger even managed to slam Orton on the announce table. Orton threw him to the crowd and caught him when he tried to jump, hitting a draping DDT from the barricade. He then took the steel steps and continued his assault before the officials rushed out to tend to Dillinger and the match was called off.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Daniel Bryan was announced for later in the night. The Miz confronted Benjamin backstage and told him "You're welcome". He hyped up Benjamin's resume and told him that he saw his tweet earlier this week demanding the match. The Miz told him that he needed to make a statement and Benjamin expressed his frustration at being on the bench. He vowed to make a statement against Daniel Bryan
