WWE SmackDown Live! came to us live from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are looking ahead to another exciting episode of the blue brand.
Here are the complete WWE SmackDown results for 6th September 2016:
#1 The Miz vs. Apollo Crews
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The first match of the night takes place between WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and Apollo Crews. In a backstage segment Miz is ordered by general manager Daniel Bryan to either defend his title against Dolph Ziggler at BackLash or hand over the title immediately.
In a non-title rematch of their SummerSlam clash, Crews gathers momentum early on against The Miz, whose BackLash opponent for the title Dolph Ziggler is at ringside. After a few lusty blows, Crews nails an Apron Moonsault on the WWE Intercontinental Champion.
Miz tries to fight his way back into the game by hitting a Neckbreaker before locking his opponent in a Split Arm Bar, but Crews manages to break it. Crews tries to pin Miz with a Sunset Flip but is unsuccessful. Miz manages to turn the tide by nailing a Corner Splash before attempting a Double Axe Handle only for Crews to catch him mid-air and reverse it excellently into an Overhead Belly-to-Belly.
Ziggler is then confronted by Miz outside of the ring as Crews follows, but the Intercontinental Champion takes advantage of the situation and shoves Crews into Ziggler, before hitting the Skull Crushing Finale on him and pinning him for the win.
Result: The Miz beats Apollo Crews by pinfall
#2 Bray Wyatt warns Randy Orton, The Viper responds

Wyatt insisted that Orton had lost his edge over the years and he wasn’t the same predator that he used to be and Wyatt is the new Apex Predator. He then added that The Viper will become the prey at BackLash and he will be reduced to nothing but chunks of meat.
Randy Orton responds to the Eater of Worlds in his own way later during the night in a backstage segment with Charly.

The six-woman tag match kicks off with Alexa Bliss and Naomi in the middle of the ring. Naomi has the upper hand earlier in the contest as she gets the better of Bliss and Carmella. She then tags her partner, The Irish Lass Kicker in and Becky delivers the Backslide on Carmella followed by the sunset flip for a near fall.
Nikki then joins the fray and has a go at Carmella. Lynch then works on Carmella for a while before The Princess of Staten Island tags in Natalya. Natalya teams up with Alexa to work on Becky in one corner.
Becky then fights back against Alexa, who tags in Natalya, Becky welcomes Natalya with a knee to the face followed by a schoolgirl. Natalya tags in Bliss, while Becky hot-tags Nikki. Nikki unleashes on Alexa but she tags in Carmella after a cheap shot on Becky.

American Alpha then nail the Grand Amplitude to pin the other Uso for the win.
The two teams then shake hands, but rather unexpectedly The Usos attack American Alpha once again as the Samoan veterans turn heel. The two work on Gable’s knee and injure it in the process. The Usos make their way back with as the referees check on Gable.

The Usos went on to explain the reason behind them attacking American Alpha on Talking Smack:

Fandango makes his way to the ring and reveals that Tyler Breeze is busy in Dubai before he introduced a partner to Tango with. A random lady named Betty makes her way to the ring and Fandango indulges her into a dance but is not impressed by her dancing skills and dismisses her.
He then urges someone from the WWE Universe to join him and to him surprise Kane’s music hits. Fandango tries to act cool in front of the Big Red Machine and asks him to join his dance only to be Chokeslammed by Kane, who then cheekily shakes a leg before returning.

He then gifts The Phenomenal One one of his old bowling participating trophy before mocking him that it is the only trophy Styles can have his hands on.
Unimpressed by his BackLash opponent’s actions Styles insists that everything is a joke for Ambrose before warning him that The Lunatic Fringe has no idea what he is up against. Ambrose then shows the whole arena what happened to Styles last week on SmackDown when he was left hanging on the top rope.
Styles loses his cool and kicks Ambrose below the belt before trash talking the WWE Champion while standing over him as SmackDown Live went off air.
