WWE SmackDown Results: April 19, 2013

SmackDown began with Fandango making his way to the ring. He accused WWE ring announcer Lillian Garcia of butchering his name and thereby insulting him. He said he wanted to teach her a dance lesson and dropped her to the floor. Santino Marella took offence in Fandango’s actions and confronted him. Fandango tried to attack him but was sent over the top rope on to the floor.

Match 1: Fandango defeated Santino Marella in a singles match via pin-fall.

Booker T and Teddy Long had a heated discussion backstage about the friction between them of late. Big Show joined them and thanked Teddy for letting Mark Henry to be his tag-team partner.

Match 2: United States Champion Kofi Kingston defeated the Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in a champion vs champion match. Kofi got the victory by pin-fall via a quick roll-up.

Sheamus attacked Mark Henry who was giving a backstage interview.

Match 3: Alberto Del Rio defeated Jack Swagger in a singles match via pin-fall.

A video package of The Shield was shown in which they explained why Cena was attacked and why Ryback did not interfere during that. Because Ryback has begun to believe in the Shield. They also stated that the Undertaker‘s time is up and they’ll take him out on RAW.

Match 4: The team of Great Khali, Hornswoggle and Natalya defeated the team of Epico, Primo and Rosa Mendes in a mixed-tag team match.

Match 5: Big Show and Mark Henry defeated Randy Orton and Sheamus in a tag-team match. Big Show’s chokeslam on Randy Orton enabled him to get the three count.
