Bray Wyatt addresses Chris Jericho on Smackdown

Chris Jericho returns to Smackdown

After his big return was cut short by the Wyatt Family on Raw last Monday, Jericho appeared on Smackdown and addressed the WWE universe on the situation with the Wyatts. The former WWE champion promised that he was ready for Bray’s craziness and was definitely up to the challenge . The Eater of the Worlds responded as he appeared on the Titantron and warned Jericho to save himself instead of saving others. The screen went black and Jericho called him out to come down to the ring.

Instead , The Miz came out and asked Jericho how it felt to be interrupted. He said that the WWE fans were deprived of his return because of him and hurting his face would cost the WWE. But before he could say anymore, Jericho landed another Codebreaker to break the not so awesome interference.

Big E vs Cesaro

After viciously beating up Kofi Kingston on the last episode of Raw, Cesaro faced Kofi’s friend and Battle Royal opponent Big E who stood up to the challenge to take out the Swing King. But before the match could occur, both the superstars engaged in a brawl outside the ring that led to the match ending in a No Contest.

No Contest

AJ Lee vs Eva Marie

After returning to the WWE on Raw and reclaiming the Divas Championship from Paige, AJ Lee faced Eva Marie in a match that was shortlived as AJ made her opponent tap out to the Black Widow. Paige who was at ringside, surprisingly shook hands with AJ after the match and clapped for her victory.

Winner: AJ Lee

American vs Russian stand-off

Damien Sandow came out dressed up as Bruce Springsteen as the crowd in Newark were in for another weekly gimmick. But Rusev interrupted and ended Sandow’s segment with a Superkick. Lana grabbed the microphone as she disrespected the special occasion of Independence day. That prompted the Real Americans to do something as Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger entered the ring. Colter and Lana engaged in a heated argument which ultimately led to a fierce stare down between The Bulgarian Brute and The Real American.

Dean Ambrose makes a leap on Randy Orton

Dean Ambrose vs Randy Orton

With Roman Reigns banned from ringside and Seth Rollins joining the commentary team, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton engaged in the main event battle of the night. Ambrose could not resist from attacking Rollins as he leaped on his former partner and took him out of the scenario with multiple shots to the head. After that, he turned his attention back to Orton and went for a dive from the top ropes. But he was nailed in mid-air by Rollins who recovered in time to hit Ambrose with his briefcase leading to a disqualification

Winner: Dean Ambrose

After the match got over, another 2-on-1 assault was in progress as Rollins and Orton teamed up on Ambrose. But Triple H’s warning did not stop Reigns from coming out to rescue his brother as he tossed Rollins to the canvas before delivering a Superman Punch to Randy Orton. He signals for the spear, but Rollins pulls Orton out of the ring and they escape up the ramp to end the show.
