Before the match, Owens called out Jey in a backstage interview and said that unlike Jey Uso, he was his own man. After the match started, Uso was taking a beating and Reigns and Heyman were watching from backstage on SmackDown.

Roman sent Heyman out to the ring for some reason before we headed for commercials. Heyman walked out after the break and Owens was distracted, letting Uso take advantage.

Uso drove Owens into the steel steps before mauling him in the ring with punches. KO came back in with a Superkick and a Cannonball followed by a Senton from up top.

Uso was almost pinned by KO but then Reigns' music hit and the ref was distracted, letting Jey get a low blow. Uso followed up with the splash and picked up the win.

We got a huge title match to kick off SmackDown while all but the main event were qualifier matches for Survivor Series. We even got a great main event while the Rollins - Mysterio feud took another turn.
