WWE Smackdown spoilers & analysis - 10th September, 2015

Ryback faced Rollins in a RAW rematch, in the main-event of SmackDown

Spoilers

-The Wyatt Family kicks off Smackdown with an in-ring promo. They speak about Reigns/Ambrose and their attack on Randy Orton.

-Cesaro defeated The Miz via a sharpshooter.

-Renee Young interviews Reigns, Ambrose and Jimmy Uso backstage

-Paige v Sasha Banks ended in a no contest when each competitor’s respective team members all engaged in a massive ringside brawl.

-Seth Rollins is interviewed backstage by Byron Saxton before Sheamus interrupts

-The New Day v Reigns, Ambrose, Uso ended in a no contest after The Wyatt Family interfered and attacked Jimmy Uso.

-The Ascension defeated the Lucha Dragons. The Ascension and Stardust attacked Sin Cara and Kalisto after the match before Neville ran out to make the save.

-Renee Young interviews Nikki Bella backstage before Charlotte interrupts and they exchange words.

-Seth Rollins defeated Ryback with a pedigree in a fantastic lumberjack match.

Analysis

The Wyatt Family has been booked very strong as of late, more specifically the latest addition Braun Strowman has been booked extremely strong. With the attack on Orton at RAW seemingly coming out of nowhere along with the apparently random attack now on Jimmy Uso, it appears the Wyatt Family may simply be eliminating any potential candidates who could contemplate aligning themselves with Reigns/Ambrose for their upcoming match at Night of Champions.

It will be interesting to see if they find a partner on an upcoming episode of Raw or if they wait until NOC to reveal their new team mate. Many have predicted that NXT star Baron Corbin may be the man to join them but personally I don’t think he’s ready yet. If they were to choose someone from NXT I would much prefer Solomon Crowe who actually has past experience teaming with Ambrose as the Switchblade Conspiracy. Another main roster option who I would personally love to see join them is Cesaro who currently finds himself without a definitive feud.

Speaking of Cesaro, he was finally able to pick up a victory which hopefully will help him regain some momentum. However he still finds himself essentially without a feud heading into NOC hence why he should align himself with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to battle The Wyatt Family.

Paige and Sasha Banks were given more time to work on Smackdown, however they still weren’t given a clean finish. Perhaps these two will have a final match either on Raw or potentially at the NOC PPV.

The Ascension and Stardust continued their alliance once again on this week’s Smackdown. Also Neville appears to have found himself some partners in the form of the Lucha Dragons. It’s likely that these 6 men will find themselves in a 3 vs 3 tag team match at NOC. All 6 are very talented and would be sure to deliver a great match up.

Seth Rollins and Ryback fought a RAW rematch in the main even of this week’s episode of Smackdown. The two wrestled in a lumberjack bout and delivered an astounding match. A brawl broke out at ringside between all the lumberjacks at one stage. Neville and The Lucha Dragons took out the pack with a huge dive.
