WWE News: Brain Kendrick vs. Kalisto for the Cruiserweight title announced for Survivor Series

Kalisto is a 2 time United States Champion
Will he be able to capture the Cruiserweight title?

With Survivor Series just a few days away, WWE has been working hard to fill the match card. As the company is focusing on the RAW vs Smackdown brand war, another inter-brand title match has been announced for the upcoming pay-per-view.

After the recent WWE Draft, RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon announced that Cruiserweight action can be only witnessed during the Monday nights. The Smackdown authority, who weren’t fond of this idea, now get the opportunity to change the entire landscape.

In the recent edition of Smackdown from Glasgow, it was announced that RAW’s Cruiserweight Champion Brian Kendrick will be defending his Championship against the former United States Champion, Kalisto. The King of Flight being a part of the blue brand will not only bring the title but the entire Cruiserweight division, from RAW to Smackdown.

Kalisto and Sin Cara a.k.a. the Lucha Dragons had to disband their team due to the brand extension draft. Recently, Sin Cara started working as part of the Cruiserweight division. If his former team-mate wins the title at the pay-per-view, a reunion of the former NXT Tag team Champions can be expected on the blue brand.

Apart from the three traditional tag team elimination matches between the faces of the rival brands, Dolph Ziggler will be defending his Intercontinental Championship at the event, against RAW’s Sami Zayn. Interestingly, if Zayn wins the contest, the title will become an exclusive property of the red brand.
