WWE is taping RAW tonight in England, at the O2 Arena, and it is to be telecasted to the American and worldwide audience at the usual timing. Here are some highlights from the show:
The show starts without any pyrotechnics or an opening video package, we only see Dean Ambrose talking on the phone backstage and it looks like Kurt Angle is on the other end of the phone call. Ambrose hangs up and asks a stagehand to play his intro music before he heads to the ring.
Ambrose, after getting in the ring, cuts a promo about how Angle could not be there for the show and mentions that he is appointed as the acting General Manager for the night. Immediately after, The Miz comes out, only to mention that he has been talking to Stephanie McMahon who appointed him as the co-General Manager for tonight’s RAW. Ambrose offers to shake The Miz’s hand.

Braun Strowman comes out at this point and says that he wants Roman Reigns and after he is done with the ‘Big Dog’ he wants none other than the Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar.
It is now Kalisto’s turn to make an appearance as he comes out and demands a rematch with Braun Strowman to which Strowman replies that he can beat Kalisto with one arm.
Ambrose books Strowman vs Kalisto for a later time during the night and The Miz congratulates Ambrose for ending the luchador’s career. Ambrose also announces Finn Balor vs The Miz for later in the night.
Finn Balor defeats The Miz who is the No. 1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship at the moment and snatches a victory, ending the match with a swift Coup de Grace.
During the match, Miz tried to use his power as co-GM to stop the match and call a DQ but Ambrose used his power as the same to restart the match, as well as ban Maryse from being ringside.
Next is a backstage segment involving Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss where Nia announces that she wants a title shot. They then head ringside for Alexa’s match against Mickie James. Alexa gets the win over Mickie in the non-title match, aided by a distraction from Nia Jax.
Post-match, Nia attacks Mickie while Bliss and Bayley start fighting each other backstage.
Again we head backstage for a segment with Miz and Ambrose arguing about the fact that they are both abusing their powers as co-GM and an angry Miz books Ambrose vs Bray Wyatt for the night.
Still backstage, we see Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins get into it as Rollins attacks Joe and they both start brawling.
Seth vs Joe is announced.
Roman Reigns returns to the show after having been badly ‘injured’ the last time we saw him on TV. He attacked Braun Strowman during his match with Kalisto causing the match to end in a DQ.
The next match on the card is the Tag Team Turmoil match which will determine the No. 1 Contenders for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship. The participants for the huge match are Cesaro and Sheamus vs Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs Heath Slater and Rhyno vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson and Goldust and R-Truth.
Cesaro and Sheamus grab the win by eliminating every other team that participated in the match and are the new No. 1 Contenders for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.
Post-match, The Hardys make their way to the ring and stares down the winning team, also known as Shea-Saro.
Seth Rollins defeats Samoa Joe as Joe gets disqualified for sending Rollins head-first into an exposed turnbuckle after the referee warned him. Joe hits Seth with the Coquina Clutch and holds it for a while, as the official keeps shouting at a very angry Joe.
In a Facebook Live video, Neville tells TJP that the only way he gets a title shot is by defeating Jack Gallagher tonight. Neville announces he will be on the commentary team for the match.
TJP defeats Jack Gallagher with a pinfall hitting him with a roll-up and a handful of tights. TJP then holds Gallagher in a knee bar till Austin Aries comes out sporting street clothes and a knee brace and makes a run for the ring to take out TJP. Neville doesn’t confirm TJP’s title shot, he probably has some plans of his own.
Sasha Banks defeats Alicia Fox with a pinfall after double knees from the top rope. Corey Graves mention the pin not being clean and it was quite visible that Fox’s shoulders weren’t completely on the mat.
Miz comes out to the commentary table as we get ready for Bray Wyatt vs Dean Ambrose.
Bray Wyatt defeats Dean Ambrose with a pinfall after a Sister Abigail. Miz comes ringside during the match and poses with the IC belt while Dean tries a suicide dive on Miz. A distracted Ambrose then gets attacked by Miz using the lunatic fringe’s own IC belt against him, before sending him back into the ring to face Bray.
Post-match, The Miz attacks Dean Ambrose again and says he’ll win the IC Title next week and that it’ll be “AWESOME”.
