Woods suffered a busted nose on SmackDown

- In our Smackdown spoilers, we noted that the main event comprised of a six-man tag match involving the WWE Tag team champions The New Day and The Dudleys with Dean Ambrose. Reports say Woods got his nose busted open and was bleeding during the match.

Xavier Woods has been the star of the New Day trio with his promo cutting ability and playing the trombone during the matches. It remains to be seen if the injury was grave.

- This week’s Smackdown saw a dark match after the main tapings, which involved Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns take on the team of Luke Harper & Bray Wyatt. As the show was held in Cincinatti, the babyfaces went over and the show concluded with Ambrose and Reigns celebrating in the ring to the approval of Ambrose’s hometwon crowd.

Ambrose has been one of the most ‘over’ stars on the roster for a while, but has been stuck without a lot happening in terms of storyline development. He, along with Orton, is set to face the team of Braun Strowman and Luke Harper at the upcoming PPV Hell in a Cell. Rumours abound on a heel turn by Dean, as he has been stale as a face for sometime now.

- The Rock had an interesting exchange on Twitter yesterday with former star Tommy Dreamer with current stars Bubba Ray Dudley and Kevin Owens chiming in. The Rock, who has history with both Bubba Ray & Tommy Dreamer from his time wrestling, also knows Kevin Owens from his recent visits back in the WWE.
