The upcoming episode of WWE SmackDown will feature two Money in the Bank qualifier matches for the men's roster. One will be a Triple Threat match between Randy Orton, Tama Tonga, and Carmelo Hayes and the second will be another Triple Threat match between Andrade, Kevin Owens, and Grayson Waller.
Speaking of Grayson Waller, currently, he is one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions with Austin Theory. However, only Waller received a qualifier match for Money in the Bank. If Waller wins the match on WWE SmackDown tonight, it may lead to A-Town Down Under splitting up very soon.
Lately, Austin Theory has been noticing how Waller undermines him. In the previous episode of WWE SmackDown, DIY showed footage from a match where Grayson Waller shoved Theory into harm's way. During the same episode, DIY attacked A-Town Down Under on the Grayson Waller Effect, and Waller seemed to get away without a scratch while Theory was struck down twice.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
On tonight's episode, if Waller wins, he can finally show his true colors and taunt Austin Theory. Waller can show his partner that Austin Theory never received a chance for the ladder match and now, Waller can become the next Mr. Money in the Bank. Once the rift is created, Theory can plot revenge in two ways.
First, Theory could attack Grayson Waller backstage and injure him. As a result, Waller is replaced by Theory in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Second, Theory could ask Nick Aldis to book him for a Money in the Bank qualifier match on next week's WWE SmackDown. This would pave the path for Austin Theory's face turn and Theory vs. Waller in the future, but they'll have to drop the WWE Tag Team Championship first.
CM Punk will be present on WWE SmackDown tonight
The Voice of the Voiceless was present at Clash at the Castle where he cost Drew McIntyre victory against Damian Priest. Not only were the fans upset, but so was SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett.
Punk was absent from RAW following Clash at the Castle, but is going to be present at Allstate Arena tonight for the show. He is supposed to give an update about his injury and whether or not he is medically cleared.
However, Drew McIntyre announced that he is quitting on the June 17, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW. It remains to be seen how the story between McIntyre and Punk will develop in the coming months.
