Drew McIntyre and CM Punk are arguably embroiled in the fiercest rivalry in the new era of WWE thus far. The two rivals' war has become personal, especially after The Scottish Warrior stole Punk's bracelet. That bracelet had the names of Punk's wife, AJ Lee, and their dog, Larry.
The former World Heavyweight Champion could tease Punk and threaten to take his dog hostage, although it's unlikely he'd stoop that low. The Scot could further push the Chicago star's buttons by alluding to his SummerSlam opponent's tumultuous AEW spell. He was involved in two backstage brawls, one with Perry and another with The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks).
During the brawl at All Out in 2022, Larry was allegedly an innocent victim in the physical altercation between Punk and The Elite. McIntyre could recall this when toying with The Voice of the Voiceless about taking Larry hostage.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
This rivalry has continuously blurred the lines between reality and kayfabe, and this would be another extraordinary twist. It wouldn't put it past McIntyre to resort to such extreme measures as rattling Punk's cage.
CM Punk's love for his dog, Larry, is displayed on his Instagram account. He posts regular updates on life at home with the canine and is Punk's proud and joyful. This is why McIntyre could use this against his fierce foe and play further mind games by faking kidnapping.
Drew McIntyre has been unforgiving since his feud with the former AEW star began. He did the unthinkable on Thursday when he shared a snap with Punk's real-life rival, Jack Perry, with whom he had a major falling out back in All Elite Wrestling.
CM Punk hilariously ruled out Larry being used in his ongoing WWE feud with Drew McIntyre
CM Punk has already answered whether fans will soon see Larry used on TV in the feud with Drew McIntyre. A fan at Comic-Con asked him whether his dog would be making a WWE appearance.
Per Denise Salcedo, the WWE RAW star playfully responded by saying that Larry wasn't allowed on TV anymore. This was seemingly a joke aimed at the All Out Brawl.
Larry appeared in AEW before CM Punk's hugely controversial departure in September 2023. He's yet to appear in the Stamford-based promotion, and it doesn't look like he'll be doing so in his father's rivalry with Drew McIntyre.
AJ Lee could be an option to enhance the feud further and make it even more heated. The former Divas Champion hasn't been on WWE TV since April 2015, but she was a massive hit with the promotion.
