Queen of the Ring Nia Jax will face Bayley for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam in just over two weeks. Many people consider her the favorite to walk out of Cleveland, Ohio, as the new champion.
Jax's ally, Tiffany Stratton, has also been on a roll, recently winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, which guaranteed her a title shot within the next 12 months. Things have been going well for the duo, but Jade Cargill could become a thorn in their side moving forward.
Jade arrived in WWE during the Women's Royal Rumble Match earlier this year, making a statement by lifting Jax during the match and eliminating her in what was an iconic moment. They faced each other again during the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament, where Nia won after the match ended in disqualification.
Fans are highly invested in this rivalry, and WWE may start planting seeds for its next chapter. Jade Cargill getting her payback on Nia by costing her the win at SummerSlam and preventing Tiffany Stratton from potentially cashing in her Money in the Bank contract could take the rivalry to the next level.
The Stamford-based company might even be looking at a tag team program involving Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair against Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton to elevate the women's tag team division, potentially culminating at the 'Bad Blood' event later this year.
Former WWE manager praised Nia Jax and Jade Cargill's previous encounter
Nia Jax and Jade Cargill came face-to-face during the quarterfinals of the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament. They had a back-and-forth match before Cargill got disqualified for using a steel chair.
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell commented on the match and said that it was pretty good considering it was their first singles match together. Mantell mentioned that both Cargill and Jax complemented each other well and that it was great seeing two powerful women going at it.
"I really liked the match. When I heard it, I'd forgotten that they were gonna have the match on SmackDown this week. When I tuned in, and I heard it, I said, 'Oh okay, now I know why I wanted to see it.' This is the first time they matched up right? They actually matched up pretty well. I think Jade is a good opponent for Nia Jax because they're two big girls and they can dish it out. So, I'm there for it," Dutch Mantell said.
It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for the two stars moving forward.
