John Cena kicked off his retirement tour on the RAW premiere on Netflix on Monday night. He announced that he would be taking part in the Royal Rumble match and made a statement that he was going to win it.

The Cenation Leader addressed the WWE Universe and referred to the struggles that he would need to overcome to become a record-breaking 17-time world champion.

Cena mentioned that it has been nearly seven years since he last won a singles match in WWE (over 2,400 days) and the fact that he hasn't competed in the ring for quite a while as two of the reasons that might prevent him from claiming the title during his retirement tour.

Still, he sent a message to the rest of the locker room that he was coming to win the Royal Rumble and clinch a spot at WrestleMania 41. However, there could be one major star that might cost him the opportunity to fight for his 17th world title at 'Mania.

This superstar is Randy Orton. The Viper is currently out of action following a Piledriver from Kevin Owens, but he is reportedly set to return before the end of the month. Orton could have a heel turn and show up in the match and assault John Cena, costing him the opportunity to win his final Royal Rumble match.

If this happens, Randy Orton will open the way for his bout with his arch-rival at WrestleMania 41. It is unclear what plans the WWE creative team has for The Cenation Leader, but a match against Randy Orton at the final WrestleMania of his career would make sense.

In addition to that, either Cena or Orton could survive the Elimination Chamber on March 1 and become the champion, making the potential match at 'Mania a title match.

Bronson Reed sends a message to John Cena amid recovery from ankle surgery

Bronson Reed has been out for weeks after sustaining an ankle injury during the WarGames Match between The OG Bloodline and The New Bloodline at Survivor Series in late November.

The RAW Superstar had surgery and is on hiatus until he recovers, with no timetable for his return. Still, he took to social media and sent a message to John Cena that he would come after him once he was healthy and back to WWE.

"I hope John Cena wins the rumble and becomes a 17-time world champion. Then, by the time I'm healthy, he can become another victim to the wave of destruction, the TSUNAMI!" he wrote on X.

It is unclear if Reed will become part of Cena's farewell tour, but the two could have a match on RAW where the WWE legend could put over Bronson Reed.
