The contract situation between WWE and Sting has been dragged around for a while now and since January 2014, both the parties have been holding talks without any agreement.
But the current word circulating backstage is that WWE are expected to strike a talent deal with the former WCW superstar before the SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Wrestling Observer reports that Sting will be in Los Angeles, California for the pay-per-view but he won’t be making an appearance on TV.

Currently, Sting has a Mattel contract and a 2k Sports contract, but he does not have a talent deal with WWE.
