The Rock's impending return to WWE television is one that many fans have been anticipating. Meanwhile, recent events on SmackDown regarding The Bloodline might have already dropped several hints about the comeback of The Final Boss.

The Rock returned earlier this year to finally get involved in The Bloodline's story in WWE. While at first he was slated to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, plans changed, and instead, he joined forces with the group and feuded with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. The unexpected swerve proved a much better move, as The Great One delivered exceptional character work as a heel.

Fans last saw The Final Boss on the RAW after 'Mania XL, where he warned Cody Rhodes that their story wasn't finished. Many have been waiting for his eventual return, and the company may have been dropping hints about it for a while.

The first hint could have been Solo Sikoa taking over The Bloodline immediately after WrestleMania XL in Roman Reigns' absence. Sikoa kicking out the past members and forming his own version of the stable seemed quite sudden and out of character for someone known to be always in the background.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

From the looks of it, The Street Champion is the one who needs more push and motivation to become unhinged, and The Final Boss was likely the mastermind behind his sudden change in character.

There's also the recent development of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns joining forces to take down Solo's Bloodline, an unexpected pairing The Brahma Bull may not approve of. Due to this, The Rock may get mad at the Original Tribal Chief for teaming up with The American Nightmare without taking him into confidence. However, the angle is entirely speculative at this point.

Does WWE Hall of Famer think The Rock vs. Roman Reigns needs a championship involved?

Although fans clamored to see Cody finish his story at this year's WrestleMania, The Final Boss vs. the Original Tribal Chief is still a dream match for the WWE Universe. Due to the magnitude of the potential match, former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry recently claimed that the dream encounter doesn't need a championship involved.

In an episode of the Busted Open podcast last month, The World's Strongest Man said that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns could be the best match of all time even if a championship isn't involved.
