WWE SummerSlam 2016: 5 hopeful bookings for the pay-per-view

Let’s play “guess the good guy”

#2 Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens

S! U! M! M! R! SUMMMMMERRRRR!

Lately Enzo Amore has been showing vast improvement in his singles in-ring ability and Big Cass had proved he can hold his own when Enzo broke his leg in NXT. But none of that matters because the two of them are like a two-piece Voltron. Their minds and bodies form to create the trash talkin’ Jersey boys with heart and soul. They also need to win.

Jericho has been putting in WORK as the old, misplaced heel from the 90s in such a beautifully subtle way that I think it’s actually gone over the heads of a lot of fans. They think he’s actually out of touch with what’s cool and hip, but he’s playing it pitch perfect, and it’s the best he’s been in years. He has to be, side by side with Kevin Owens, legitimately the best heel talker on Raw and sharp as images in the ring. And that’s the thing: JeriK.O. can take any hits right now, they’re so good.

KO has proven himself in and out and Y2J is only there for fun and helping the new guys. E&C can’t take a loss at one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year this early in their career. That, coupled with the spotlight of Raw already dumbing down their rhetoric is a dangerous place. Last month Amore broke down American politics with razor-sharp wit and Barry Allen speed, all while dropping a Jeffersons reference. This month it’s gay jokes and creepin’ on Sasha Banks. Help me, Obi-Wan Amore, you’re our only hope.
