WWE SummerSlam 2021 saw Drew McIntyre battle his former 3MB teammate Jinder Mahal. The above picture shows a masked Drew McIntyre behind the scenes with his sword, Angela. The sword has become a major part of his gimmick, paying homage to his Scottish background.

The New Day is no longer on the same brand but the members of the faction don't miss out on any opportunity to meet each other. The above picture shows Big E and Xavier Woods backstage at WWE SummerSlam 2021.
Big E defeated Baron Corbin in the pre-show of the pay-per-view and got back his Money in the Bank briefcase which Corbin had stolen from him. Xavier Woods, on the other hand, had a segment with The Miz and John Morrison, attacking them both with his Drip-Stick 2000. The third New Day member, Kofi Kingston, missed WWE SummerSlam 2021 as he was not cleared to perform at the show.
