WWE is now heading towards its next premium live event, SummerSlam 2024, and the latest episode of Monday Night RAW witnessed major developments for the Biggest Party of the Summer, which will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. In this episode, Rhea Ripley's SummerSlam match was officially announced.

The Eradicator challenged Liv Morgan to a Women's World Championship match at the upcoming event. The Stamford-based promotion later confirmed this match and added it to the card for WWE SummerSlam. A match between the two women is particularly intriguing due to the involvement of Dominik Mysterio and since Morgan attacked Rhea and forced her to vacate her title after WrestleMania XL, adding an extra layer of complexity and revenge.

Besides this, Gunther and Damian Priest will also collide for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Ring General earned this opportunity by winning the King of the Ring tournament in 2024.

During the recent RAW, both Priest and Gunther engaged in a physical altercation following a war of words, further intensifying their rivalry. Additionally, the WWE Women's Championship will be defended at SummerSlam, with Bayley set to defend her title against Nia Jax. Similar to Gunther, the Irresistible Force earned her title shot by winning the Queen of the Ring tournament in 2024.

The updated match card for the Biggest Party of the Summer is as follows:

  • Damian Priest (c) vs. Gunther - Singles match for World Heavyweight Championship
  • Bayley (c) vs. Nia Jax - Singles match for the WWE Women's Championship
  • Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley - Singles match for the Women's World Championship

WWE could soon officially announce two more matches for the SummerSlam card

Besides these three matches, WWE could soon confirm two matches for the card of the Biggest Party of the Summer. This includes a United States Championship match featuring Logan Paul clashing against LA Knight.

The Megastar signed a contract for the title bout on the recent SmackDown, but the Maverick is yet to make things official. Additionally, a confirmation from SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis is still pending.

Another anticipated match is for the Undisputed WWE Championship, where Cody Rhodes will likely lock horns with Solo Sikoa in a high-profile title bout. The American Nightmare accepted Sikoa's challenge in the previous episode of the Blue brand. However, due to the absence of the SmackDown General Manager, the match is yet to be officially confirmed.

These are the two matches that might soon be officially declared by the Stamford-based promotion for
