Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt for Summerslam
The WWE universe was treated to a lot of exciting stuff on the fallout Monday night episode of Raw after Money In The Bank PPV got over. The fans waited in anticipation of how things would turn up in the segments involving the Authority and new WWE World Heavyweight champion John Cena while the feud between MITB briefcase winner Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose was also a potential storyline to look forward to.
Instead, the wrestling bugs were treated to a memorable night at Hartford, Connecticut as the episode saw the return of 4 superstars including Chris Jericho, AJ Lee , The Miz and The Great Khali.

While AJ Lee ended on the highest note possible after getting her revenge on Paige and winning back the Divas championship, Jericho’s return looked a perfect one after he interrupted the returning Miz with a Codebreaker to his face but was taken out by the evil Wyatt Family.
Following that segment, the current word is that WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view has already booked Chris Jericho against Bray Wyatt. SeScoops reports that Jericho and Bray Wyatt will be facing each other in a one-one-one match at the specials which will be held on August 17, 2014.
Dave Meltzer states on Wrestling Observer Radio stated,“They closed the deal a few days ago.”
“He was thrilled at the prospect of working with Bray Wyatt.”
Brock Lesnar vs John Cena and Stephanie in a match
Initially, it seemed that there would be a Jericho vs Miz bout on the cards after Y2J cut Miz’s heel promo short. But Bray Wyatt’s assault on Jericho turned things around and frankly more awesome as the crowd approved the segment with ‘This is awesome’ chants.
Moving on to the main event, which has been the topic of speculation for quite a while now, Brock Lesnar will make his return to the ring at SummerSlam and he will be challenging John Cena for the WWE titles. Owing to Daniel Bryan’s injury, WWE had to change their plans and pitch Cena into the picture against Lesnar. An online poster of SummerSlam featuring the two superstars was leaked before which confirmed that the matchup is on.
Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will be up against Randy Orton. The black-clad superstar and Triple H shared a heated moment after Reigns foiled The Game’s plans of injuring Cena on Raw. It remains to be seen if the match with The Viper ill serve as a build up to a future battle against Triple H.
Also making her comeback to the ring will be “The Principal Owner of WWE”, Stephanie McMahon, who will put her wrestling gears on to face the woman she fired, Brie Bella.
Exciting times ahead for any wrestling fans as the WWE universe will look forward to August 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
