Strowman bounced Wyatt off the announce desk before hitting the running powerslam in the ring for a near fall. Braun sent Wyatt into the LED screens and then backstage where Wyatt hit the Sister Abigail on the floor for a near fall at SummerSlam.

Wyatt was dominating the match and tried for the Mandible Claw but Strowman fought him off. Strowman got a box cutter and cut the ring mat to explore the wood under it and Wyatt hit a uranage and the Sister Abigail onto it.

Wyatt hit a third Sister Abigail and picked up the win at SummerSlam!

Result: The Fiend def. Braun Strowman to become the new Universal Champion

Roman Reigns came out at SummerSlam and attacked The Fiend with a spear! He then speared Strowman as well before taking him out with a steel chair. Back in the ring, Roman hit another spear on the new champ and raised the Universal Title as the show ended.

We got quite an eventful SummerSlam with the brand new live broadcast format. Asuka put on two incredible matches while Dominik vs. Rollins and McIntyre vs. Orton were two of the most physical matchups of the year. Even Sonya and Mandy put on an intense match while Wyatt and Braun had the most memorable exchange from the night.
