#9. Referee forgets the count

When Triple H vs. Randy Orton ends up being the best match of the night, it's a clear indication that the show wasn't all that great.

Orton and HHH put on a typically paced match that started slow and ended strong with a host of false finishes. There was one moment during the match where the referee forgot his primary duties.

Triple H was outside the ring and he side slammed Orton onto the announcer's table on four consecutive occasions. The referee just looked on and didn't even bother to start a count. Probably it was the sight of one of his bosses dishing out the punishment that may have stopped him.

#10. Undertaker almost kills Goldberg

Ad

Undertaker vs. Goldberg for the first time ever, in all honesty, was a disaster. The 54-year-old Deadman and the 52-year-old WCW standout are both well past their primes. To begin with, this was never a good idea for a big main event.

The botchy finishing sequences were not surprising but it could have had major repercussions. Goldberg almost broke his neck as a result of an Undertaker piledriver. Goldberg even botched his Jackhammer and a match that began with some promise ended up being a cluttered affair. No wonder the Undertaker looked very unhappy after the match.

We respect the effort and legacy of both the legends, but father time has well and truly caught up.

And thank heavens as Goldberg's neck is still in one piece.
