The first Saudi Arabian pay-per-view of the year 2019, WWE Super Showdown, is all set to take place in just a few hours at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium of Jeddah. As always, WWE has prepared a star-studded match card for the Saudi Arabian event with multiple dream matches announced for the show.
Here is the list of matches which will take place at Super Showdown 2019:
- The Undertaker vs Goldberg - First Time Ever
- Triple H vs Randy Orton
- Kofi Kingston (c) vs Dolph Ziggler - WWE Championship
- 50-man battle royal
- Braun Strowman vs Bobby Lashley
- The Demon King Finn Balor (c) vs Andrade - WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Seth Rollins (c) vs Baron Corbin - WWE Universal Championship
- Lucha House Party vs Lars Sullivan - 3-on-1 handicap match
- The Usos vs The Revival
- Roman Reigns vs Shane McMahon
A one hour kick-off show will precede the event and it is likely that the 3-on-1 handicap match between Lars Sullivan and Lucha House Party will take place on the pre-show. Talking about the main show, the opening match and the closing match play an important role in deciding the quality of the show hence, they are two of the most important matches.

Here are the 2 matches which could open Super Showdown 2019 and 2 which could main event the show.
#2 Open the show - 50-man Battle Royal
Perhaps, the only match of the night which has not received any build-up whatsoever, the 50-man Battle Royal will be one of the major attractions of the night. All the mid-carders and jobbers who could not find a place in the marquee matches will take part in this 50-man match.
The likes of Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, AJ Styles, EC3, Cesaro, Ricochet, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Jinder Mahal, Cedric Alexander, Matt Hardy are most likely to be a part of this match, and if WWE wants to make the fullest use of this match, they should announce that the victorious superstar will become the new #1 contender of the US Championship.
The over the top battle royal will definitely have some surprises in store for the WWE Universe and this exciting match will set the tone for the rest of the night.

#1 Open the show - Triple H vs Randy Orton
Last year, Triple H faced WWE legend John Cena in the opener of the Greatest Royal Rumble pay-per-view. That match had not been built-up by WWE on TV, yet it received a good reception from the fans. Hence, WWE may try to go with the tried and tested formula and have Triple H and Randy Orton open the Super Showdown pay-per-view.
The Game and The Apex Predator know each other very well and they will make sure that the tone for the rest of the night is set right. Also, this match, just like John Cena vs Triple H, has little stakes and it is unlikely that we will any future development in this feud.

Hence, it would be good if WWE kicks off the night with a legendary match between two of the world's best WWE superstars.
#2 Main Event - Goldberg vs The Undertaker
In the latest WWE NEWS, Goldberg and the Undertaker have hyped up their first time ever match at WWE Super Showdown to the fullest with their appearances on RAW and SmackDown Live this week. Both the legends have achieved everything they could inside the squared circle and tonight they will collide in a dream match in Jeddah.
The Undertaker had main evented the previous show in Saudi Arabia and hence, it won't surprise many if WWE allows the Dead Man to close one more Saudi Arabia show. The fact that this may be Goldberg's final WWE match is just another reason why this match should headline the pay-per-view.
This match has got the WWE Universe for the first time in the last few years as no one knows who will emerge victorious in the singles bout.

#1 Main Event - Seth Rollins (c) vs Baron Corbin - WWE Universal Championship
The reason why I do not want the Undertaker and Goldberg to close the show is that there will be no fallout of that match on next week's RAW. Both of the legends will disappear once their match is done, and thus, WWE should try to give some spotlight to the Universal Championship match tonight.
After all, the Universal Championship is yet to main event a pay-per-view in 2019! The Universal title is the premier title of WWE, and to add more prestige to the title, it should be given the main event spot in the pay-per-views.
Nobody is excited for the match between Seth Rollins and Baron Corbin but the fans are very intrigued to see what happens when Brock Lesnar cashes in his Money In The Bank briefcase, perhaps even more interested than the match between Goldberg and the Undertaker. Also, we will have a fallout of this match on next week's RAW.
Thus, it would be great if WWE books this match as the main event.
