The two legends met for the first time in the squared circle in Jeddah. Goldberg mocked the Undertaker right off the bat and hit two big spears but 'Taker managed to kick out. Goldberg dodged a chokeslam and locked in a kneebar. Taker escaped and sent Goldberg into the corner, busting open his forehead.

'Taker hit the old school and was looking for the chokeslam and got it in. The Deadman hit the Tombstone Piledriver and Goldberg managed to kick out of it. Taker went for swift hooks and hit the snake-eyes but took another spear. Goldberg botched a jackhammer and Taker kicked out still.
Goldberg went for a Tombstone of himself but collapsed midway. Taker got the chokeslam and picked up the three count, winning the first ever encounter with Goldberg.
