Goldberg will challenge "The Fiend" for the Universal Championship

#2 Brock Lesnar vs. Ricochet (WWE Championship)

Every year before WrestleMania, WWE is faced with the difficult task of finding a credible opponent for a World Champion whose ‘Mania title match is already set in stone.

Last year, for example, Ronda Rousey held the RAW Women’s Championship in February and it was obvious that she would go on to WrestleMania to defend her title against Becky Lynch and/or Charlotte Flair, yet WWE decided to book her in a title rivalry with Ruby Riott just weeks before the event.

Fast forward to 2020 and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is in a similar position, with Ricochet set to challenge for his title six weeks before “The Beast” is due to go one-on-one with Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania.

Unfortunately for Ricochet, he does not have anywhere near as much momentum as other smaller Lesnar opponents over the last couple of years (AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor etc), and this match seems destined to be another destructive win for the WWE Champion on the road to this year’s ‘Mania.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar def. Ricochet
