#1 “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Goldberg (Universal Championship)
It is rare for a WWE World Championship match before WrestleMania to be so unpredictable, but that is the situation we find ourselves in with “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Goldberg.
In 2017, both John Cena (WWE Champion) and Kevin Owens (Universal Champion) lost their titles shortly before WrestleMania (ironically, against Wyatt and Goldberg), and it had been widely reported that they would move away from the World Championship picture ahead of WWE's annual extravaganza.
This year, SmackDown’s storylines have largely focused on “The Fiend” and Roman Reigns, with the latter building up momentum ahead of what was expected to be a Universal Championship challenge at WrestleMania 36.
With Goldberg now in the title picture, there is an outside chance that the WWE Hall of Famer could win the Universal Championship and go into WrestleMania with the title, just like he did in 2017 after defeating Owens, but it would still be somewhat surprising to see “The Fiend” drop the title so close to ‘Mania.
This is a tough one to call, but let’s go for “The Fiend”.
Prediction: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt def. Goldberg
