WWE concluded the live event tour of Japan with a house show in Tokyo on Saturday, July 27. The show featured multiple title matches, with top names from both RAW and SmackDown in action.
The night started with the World Tag Team Championship match, where Finn Balor and JD McDonagh put their titles on the line against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. However, Dominik Mysterio interfered in the match, causing the champions to lose via DQ. Rey Mysterio then came out to make the save, setting up a six-man tag team match where the babyfaces stood tall.
Next up was the Women's World Championship, where Liv Morgan successfully defended her title against Kairi Sane. Kairi's Damage CTRL stablemates did not suffer the same fate as Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai got a win over Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
Damian Priest was also in action in Tokyo. The World Heavyweight Champion put his coveted title on the line against Jey Uso and came out on top ahead of his match against Gunther at SummerSlam.
The Ring General also kept his momentum strong as he defeated LA Knight in a singles match between the two. This was also the first match between Gunther and Knight in over two years. The duo last met in April 2022, and the result was the same.
Elsewhere on the card, Sami Zayn reunited with Kevin Owens to defeat Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa of The Bloodline. Many speculate that Zayn will play a part in the upcoming Bloodline civil war, and the match at the house show could be the starting point of the same.
Bayley defeated Meiko Satomura in a singles match. The Japanese star asked for a title shot at yesterday's show, which the Role Model was happy to give. However, Meiko failed to get over the line. Tiffany Stratton tried to cash in her Money in the Bank contract after the match but was stopped by Satomura.
The event was once again headlined by Cody Rhodes, who faced AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event to retain his Undisputed WWE Championship.
