WWE Superstar Mike Kanellis recently made an appearance on the Smarks & Stripes podcast, and discussed a variety of topics. During the interview, Kanellis stated that his goal is to headline a WrestleMania, and added that he doesn't want to take Roman Reigns' spot as the locker room leader.
The WWE former 24/7 Champion made it clear that he wants to headline a WrestleMania and become World Champion. He then added that he would never take Roman Reigns' spot as the locker room leader, but could take on the position of a coach to give back to younger stars.
Yeah, I mean, for me personally, I want to headline WrestleMania. I want to be a world champ.
Roman Reigns is the locker room leader. That dude is the man. I'm never going to take that spot from him. If you ever want to be a locker room leader, that's the dude to emulate. But truthfully, like, maybe I can just be someone that other guys come to talk to. Maybe I could go to NXT and be a coach or honestly I just like giving back at this point in my life. After performing in several promotions including NJPW, Impact Wrestling, and Ring of Honor, Kanellis made his way to WWE in June 2017. After a short stint on SmackDown Live, Kanellis was moved to 205 Live with his wife Maria Kanellis. After being moved back to the main roster earlier this year, the couple was featured in a WWE 24/7 title angle that saw both of them holding the title for a brief period.
