A former WWE champion might be on his way to stealing Liv Morgan from Dominik Mysterio. No, he isn't Finn Balor. However, it's someone who is one of the finest heels in WWE.
The superstar in question is Logan Paul. The former United States Champion has been absent from WWE since losing his title to LA Knight at SummerSlam. However, he might soon return to the Stamford-based promotion and go after Morgan.
One might wonder how Paul would be booked in a storyline with Dom and Morgan while he is a SmackDown roster superstar. Logan might be eyeing Liv Morgan because he hasn't been featured on the SmackDown poster recently revealed by WWE and might be moved to RAW. The poster features superstars like Solo Sikoa, Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, and Jade Cargill, but Logan Paul is absent. This suggests that The Maverick might now be booked in the storyline with Dominik and Liv Morgan on RAW.
Moreover, Paul recently revealed that he had pitched the idea of working with Dominik Mysterio to Triple H. During a conversation with Liv Morgan on his IMPAULSIVE podcast, the former US Champion said he discussed teaming up with Dom in a storyline.
“I pitched Triple H a me and Dom tag team. I’ll just say it. It didn’t seem like it was off the table. I just wasn’t sure if there was room for you in that tag team," Logan Paul said.
Now that LA Knight is already focused on a storyline with Carmelo Hayes and Andrade for his US Championship, it doesn't appear that Logan Paul will go after that title.
Dominik and Paul are the modern-day heels in WWE, and their tease about getting the WWE Women's World Champion on their side would make an excellent story.
Furthermore, Morgan might get bored by Dom and look to dump him for Paul. That typically would turn Dom into a babyface and set off a feud with Logan Paul, possibly at WrestleMania 41.
Dominik Mysterio questioned Logan Paul's absence from WWE since SummerSlam
While Logan Paul might have pitched a tag-team storyline with Dominik to Triple H, the latter doesn't seem keen. In a recent appearance on The Bootleg Kev podcast, Dirty Dom praised Paul's in-ring abilities but questioned his prolonged absence from the company.
"I was his first [WrestleMania opponent]. I think he still has a lot to learn, and I think the time he has to be able to, like, practice and develop more stuff is more power to him because I said it when I was on his podcast, but we're constantly on the road every week, and, like, he lost the title how long ago? And we haven't seen him since... shout-out Logan, but you know," Dominik said.
Dominik and Rey Mysterio were Logan Paul's first opponents at WrestleMania 38, where The Maverick and The Miz defeated Dominik Mysterio and Rey in a tag-team match. He then signed a contract with WWE in June 2022. In November 2023, he won his first US Championship against Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel and held it for 273 days before losing it to LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024.
