WWE Superstar Gunther is currently on a dominating run as the World Heavyweight Champion. Interestingly, while The Imperium leader is heading into the Netflix era of RAW as a world titleholder, he could lose his belt rather soon. A recent development suggests that Logan Paul could dethrone The Ring General at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Gunther is known for always talking his opponents and other wrestlers down in his promos. The World Heavyweight Champion did the same at the kickoff show of RAW on Netflix. On the show, it was announced that The Maverick would be joining the red brand, and he expressed his desire to become a WWE Champion. Following this, The Ring General targeted Logan Paul and said he would slap the stupid smirk off Paul’s face.

Logan Paul hasn’t been seen in WWE since his defeat at SummerSlam, where he lost the United States Championship to LA Knight. Since then, the US title has changed hands, and Shinsuke Nakamura is the current champion in his third reign. While The Maverick would like to get his belt back, he could also answer Gunther’s provocation.

The Ring General successfully defended his championship against Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Currently, he doesn’t have any challengers, but Logan Paul could fill this spot. He could contest for the belt at Royal Rumble and beat the champ. While this is a strong direction WWE can take, it is just speculation so far.

Gunther could also be up against The Best in The World

WWE Superstar CM Punk is heralded as one of the greatest WWE Champions in history by the fans. During his feud with Drew McIntyre, he namedropped Gunther in an interview with Cathy Kelley at the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event and said he would be coming for his title.

After his strap match victory at the Uber Arena, he also reiterated this desire. However, The Scottish Warrior swept him in for one more round after Bash in Berlin to compete at Bad Blood. Now, The Second City Saint has resumed his feud with Seth Rollins and will face him on RAW’s Netflix debut.

However, once CM Punk settles his feud with The Visionary, he will have no further obstacles that would prevent him from colliding with The Ring General. Moreover, Punk also has a favor he can ask Paul Heyman to give him some advantage against the 2024 King of the Ring.

It would be interesting to see how the champion fares against The Best in The World in a title match in the future.
