The team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler seemed unstoppable at a point in time. The duo went on to win the Raw Tag Team Titles before their shift to the Blue Brand. Once they were drafted to SmackDown Live, the two aligned themselves with King Corbin.

Their run was cut short because of Roode's suspension due to a violation of the company's wellness policy. The Glorious one made his return after 30 days on SmackDown Live, siding with Corbin and Ziggler, attacking Reigns and The Usos.

In the following weeks, he was a part of the feud and took on Reigns in a Tables Match which he lost. His run in the Royal Rumble was also forgettable.

The man who made a name for himself from scratch in the WWE, Carillo has been a part of NXT and 205 Live. While his run in these promotions didn't do much for him, his draft to Raw put him on the wrestling map and the fans began noticing him.

Carillo was missing in action because of Andrade hit him with a DDT on the concrete floor. This sidelined him and he was unable to compete. Almost a month later, Carillo returned and attacked Andrade challenging him in a losing effort for the US Title.
