WWE RAW Superstars, The Singh Brothers, appeared in a recent interview with Lilian Garcia in her podcast 'Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia'. There, the brothers Sunil & Samir Singh talked about the hardships and experiences that they faced while they were on their way to make it to WWE. One such topic was how Sunil Singh almost joined the police force.
Sunil Singh's love for wrestling came first
Sunil said that to start a family and have a stable income, he applied to join the force just one year before the brothers participated in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic as he had a degree in criminology. Lilian Garcia compared the situation with that of WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali who also worked as a police officer in the suburbs of Chicago before he came to WWE.

However, his younger brother Samir said that he never got the job and Sunil also clarified that he preferred WWE over the police force.
I remember going into a couple of police department interviews and the sergeant sitting there with me and looking me in the eye there like 'we see everything you have done, everything looks good but how serious are you about this wrestling? Is this something you do as a hobby or is this something that you want to fulfill?' and I couldn't lie to myself. I told them straight up, wrestling comes first, that still my ultimate dream is to make it to the WWE and I remember getting a phone-call, e-mail back saying 'until you are 100% committed to us, we can't take you.'
Sunil also added that in the end, he was grateful to his wife who supported him throughout his career and who also told him that the reason he didn't join the police force is that he was destined to be where he is now.
