Ziggler won both the Intercontinental Championship and the Raw tag team Championship in 2018. He won the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Seth Rollins on an episode of Raw and, similarly, won the Raw tag team Championship, alongside Drew McIntyre, against the B-Team on an episode of Raw.

It might be a surprise to some that Ziggler only had two title wins in 2018 given the number of title matches he featured in, most of which being against Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship. With that being said, Ziggler did have a relatively strong year in 2018 with his partnership with Drew McIntyre seeming to inject new life into his character.

While this partnership has now ended, it remains to be seen whether Ziggler can carry on the momentum he generated during this successful run or whether he will now proceed to become lost in the mid-card as we have seen with him previously.
