Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Photo

The dream match began with the two having a tense staredown. They began with a feeling-out process. It was all mind games early on as Rollins stole Nakamura's taunt, using it on him.

Nakamura got the momentum on his side by stunning Rollins on the ropes and then hit a wicked kick to the head when The Architect went for a suicide dive. They got into a slugest and so far up to that point, it was quite even, Rollins began to have some extended momentum and dumped Nakamura outside the ring. This time, he landed the suicide dive, hitting three for good measure.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Rollins soared to the skies to strike Nakamura down, but the United States Champion was kicked out. Nakamura began countering with backstabbers, only to get caught in a superkick. It's a shame the crowd was dead because the match itself was great. Nakamura got a seamless transition into a triangle, nearly submitting the IC champion.

A buckle bomb saw him escape and Rollins got a few more nearfalls in, with a superkick and even a falcon arrow. Nakamura baited Rollins into a battle of strikes and got the better of him before hitting the exploder suplex. Rollins escaped and missed a frog splash before getting a Kinshasa to the back of the head.

Rollins kicked out and after avoiding a Kinshasa, he connected the stomp for the win.
