Shayna Baszler main evented this year's Survivor Series alongside Bayley and Becky Lynch

Shayna Baszler, Becky Lynch and Bayley were handed a unique opportunity last night as they were able to main event Survivor Series for the first time. The women have main evented a number of pay-per-views over the past few years, but they have never been given the chance to main event Survivor Series.

This main event means that the Raw Women's Champion is just a SummerSlam main event away from main eventing all four of WWE's biggest shows of the year, whilst Shayna Baszler's debut on the main roster was a historic occasion for her since it was the match that confirmed that NXT had completed their win over the main roster.

Survivor Series is usually main evented by the men's traditional match and in recent years there have been some interesting swerves, but WWE decided to play it safe last night an allow Shayna Baszler to secure the win for her team, and then have Lynch tease that there could be more to this story moving forward when she attacked The Queen of Spades following her decisive victory.
