WWE Survivor Series is set to commence in a few hours. For the first time in the history of the PPV, we will see three brands battling it out for brand supremacy. The NXT Superstars are the ultimate underdogs heading into the show and it would be interesting to see how they fare against RAW and SmackDown.
This year’s Survivor Series has allowed the creatives to book multiple dream matches featuring Superstars who are otherwise used to repetitive storylines on the supposed ‘main-roster’. Tonight, some of them might step out of their comfort zone and deliver spots that we will remember in years to come.
Among all the WWE Superstars who will be representing their respective brands tonight, there are a few who will make the most of this opportunity and emerge as the biggest highlights of the show.
In this list, we will take a look at five WWE Superstars who could shine at Survivor Series 2019 and steal the show.

#5 Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre was reportedly in line for a huge push and was expected to challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship. However, those plans were derailed owing to the rivalry between 'The Architect' and The Fiend.
Fortunately for McIntyre, he has another opportunity at Survivor Series to remind the WWE Universe of his brutality. His entire run on the main roster has been about proving his mettle against the celebrated personalities of the roster. McIntyre has often called out the creatives for giving more importance to the ‘legends’ as compared to the current Superstars.
At Survivor Series, he will be representing RAW and can capitalize on this chance to establish himself as a dominant force on the Red brand. If the creatives want to him to continue as a heel, McIntyre might end up attacking his teammates during the match. This will also allow WWE to initiate a feud between him and the likes of Rollins, Ricochet or Randy Orton which will prove to be good for business in the coming weeks.
#4 Nikki Cross
Ever since Alexa Bliss had to take time off from in-ring action, Nikki Cross has delivered convincing performances as a singles Superstar. In the last few weeks, we saw her trade blows with SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and her best friend, Sasha Banks.
Now, she will be representing the Blue brand and could play a crucial role in determining the course of action inside the ring. Last week, she arrived on NXT and took down several female wrestlers with the help of a trash can. Additionally, going by her recent run, she could be the sole survivor in the traditional 5-on-5 Women’s elimination match at the upcoming PPV.
Cross is also involved in an ongoing feud with team captain, Sasha Banks. We have already seen both of them engage in a brawl during a match against Superstars from the other two brands. It would be interesting to see the impact of this rivalry and Cross’ response to her captain when she has to compete as a part of the team.
#3 Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is one of the most liked Superstars in the entire WWE roster. He knows how to take advantage of any given situation and is extremely unpredictable in his responses. At Survivor Series, all eyes will be on this no-nonsense Superstar who is expected to deliver the biggest shock of the night.
Owens kickstarted this weekend by joining Tommaso Ciampa in the latter’s WarGames match against the Undisputed Era. The crowd’s reaction to his arrival on NXT speaks volumes about the possible future of the Canadian Superstar. Moreover, backstage rumours indicate that NXT desperately wants Owens and believes that the Black and Gold brand can do justice to his potential.
Last week, we even saw Triple H convince Owens that the latter is welcome on NXT but that segment ended with the Undisputed Era attacking him inside the ring. Now that he has avenged the beatdown by helping Ciampa win the WarGames match, he could join forces with the latter who is likely to be the captain of the NXT Men’s team.
#2 Sasha Banks
After a four-month-long hiatus from the company, Sasha Banks returned to WWE and went on to feud with Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship. Although she couldn’t get her hands on the title, Banks was widely appreciated for her involvement in the brutal rivalry against ‘The Man’.
This storyline also saw ‘The Legit Boss’ turn heel and take pride in all her WWE accomplishments to date. She is now seen accompanying her best friend Bayley but at Survivor Series, Banks will be leading the Blue brand in the Women’s elimination match.
Banks has spent a fair amount of time reminding everyone that she sets the standards in the entire product. She shares history with several Superstars who would be present inside the ring during that match, such as Charlotte Flair and Nikki Cross. Therefore, it will be a perfect opportunity for Banks to show the WWE Universe she can walk the talk.
If she manages to win the match for her brand, it will establish her as a credible heel. Moreover, if Bayley fails to win her battle, the evening will plant the seeds of an eventual fall out between these two best friends.
#1 Tommaso Ciampa
An unfortunate neck injury forced Tommaso Ciampa to relinquish his NXT Championship and step away from the ring. Now that he is finally back, the Blackheart knows what he wants to do next. He is currently feuding with Adam Cole for the NXT title.
Yesterday, Ciampa led his team to a stunning victory against the Undisputed Era in the WarGames match at NXT: Takeover. He will look to capitalize on that momentum and lead the Black and Gold brand to a deserved victory in the battle for brand supremacy.
If we go by the company’s history, it is highly unlikely that NXT will win against RAW and SmackDown despite the fact that the underdogs will be the better talent at the PPV tonight. As ridiculous as it may sound, NXT champions might fail in winning their respective battles.
Therefore, it would be almost poetic to see Ciampa lead his team to a well-deserved win and prove why NXT indeed is the ‘main-roster’. But even if nothing goes in his favor, Ciampa will definitely prove why he deserves to be at the pinnacle of sports entertainment.
