#1 Seth Rollins will remain the face of WWE

Baron Corbin’s back hit the mat hard as The Shield delivered what could be their final triple powerbomb, we saw the emotions pour out on the faces of all three men in The Shield.

Instead of chanting “You sold out!”, the WWE Universe were chanting “Please don’t go!” as Dean Ambrose fought his final battle with the company.

While the spotlight should have been on Ambrose, his accomplishments, and his career, it was evident that WWE had other plans. Universal Champion Seth Rollins seemed to take the spotlight even on the night when Ambrose was saying goodbye.

Rollins spoke about his own accomplishments and Universal Championship, while even Dean Ambrose pointed out that Rollins was the champion.

With Roman Reigns remaining mum throughout the farewell speech, and with no mention of his previous Universal Championship or any other wins, it was, in fact, clear who WWE wanted to be promoted at this stage.
