WWE bowed out on pay-per-view in 2018 with the pay-per-view that has become known as wrestling's answer to the human demolition derby. It was a brutal pay-per-view that made Tables, Ladders, and Chairs the legal objects throughout the show, and many WWE superstars made full use of this.
Whenever gimmicks are added into matches there is always room for botches and as ever there were a number of them spotted and here are some of the more obvious mistakes, slip-ups, and botches from WWE's final pay-per-view of the year.
#3 Quite the ending to the Mixed Match Challenge
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The Mixed Match Challenge finally came to an end at TLC with R-Truth and Carmella coming out on top against Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal. It was the match that kicked off the final pay-per-view of the year, but it was one that definitely set the tone.
R-Truth and Carmella had barely entered the ring when the first botch took place as the technical team played Alicia Fox's music too early and then stopped it a few seconds later. Truth and his partner were still cutting a promo in the ring and were able to ignore it.
Alicia Fox has quite a reputation for botches and she didn't disappoint as she went for a jackknife pin and only hooked one leg before she then tapped to The Princess of Staten Island merely seconds after The Code of Silence was locked in, something that rarely happens since wrestlers are supposed to be seen trying to break out of the hold first, but Fox seemingly gave up straight away.
There were a number of botchy moments throughout the match which included Fox's swinging neckbreaker and Jinder Mahal's exit from the ring, but the ending was the most memorable.
#2 Nia Jax struggles to lift Ronda Rousey
Nia Jax looked to lift The Raw Women's Championship for a second time at TLC but it appears that The Facebreaker had a number of issues throughout her match with The Baddest Woman On The Planet, most notably after she caught her from a crossbody.
This was the second crossbody that Rousey delivered in the match, but this one Jax needed to catch and roll through into The Samoan Drop, but it was obvious that she was struggling to get back onto her feet and keep hold of the former UFC Champion.
Rousey remained locked around The Irresistible Force throughout and even though her legs were loose throughout and she could have fought off, she remained gripped to Jax so that she was able to take The Samoan Drop that followed and hold the match together.
#1 Daniel Bryan's powerful legs
Daniel Bryan retained his WWE Championship against former Champion AJ Styles, but The Phenomenal One didn't make it easy for Bryan since he threw everything he had at Bryan, which included locking in a single leg Boston Crab but he seemingly underestimated the power of Bryan's legs.
Styles fell over as he tried to lock in the move before WWE tried to cover the botch by switching the camera angle, but it wasn't quick enough since it was made obvious that Styles had slipped and had to re-adjust his feet.
When the camera moved back over to Styles he had been able to get himself into a better position and lock in the move, but it was too little too late since the WWE Universe had already spotted that the former WWE Champion had botched his attempt at a submission manoeuvre.
