#4. The WWE SmackDown Women's Championship has never been successfully defended
The SmackDown Women's Championship will be defended in a singles match for the first time at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs when Sasha Banks takes on Carmella. In the past, the Championship has only been defended once at the final pay-per-view of the year which was back in 2018 when Asuka was able to dethrone Becky Lynch in a triple threat TLC match that also included Charlotte Flair.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
This means that Banks has the tough task of being the first woman to try and successfully defend her title on Sunday night at WWE TLC against Carmella, who has been noted as one of her toughest adversaries.
Carmella and Banks' roads to WWE were both very different and both women stand for completely different things, but the build-up to this match has shown that Carmella has been able to get the upper hand over The Boss several times.
Carmella is a former SmackDown Women's Champion and is very much aware of what she needs to do to become Champion and with former Champion Bayley still watching in the wings, this could be an interesting encounter.
