Despite Sasha Banks trying to make it clear that she is so much better than Carmella heading into this match, The Untouchable Star has already been on the TLC main card twice, whilst Banks has only ever appeared on the kick-off show for WWE TLC.

Back in 2016, Carmella was part of a No Disqualification match against Nikki Bella, before she later teamed with R-Truth back in 2018, and the duo was victorious over Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal. This was the final of the Mixed Match Challenge and it led to both Carmella and Truth becoming number 30 in the 2020 Royal Rumble.
Despite walking into this year's WWE TLC as the SmackDown Women's Champion, Sasha Banks doesn't have a great history at the event, since she has only ever appeared on the kickoff show. Back in 2015, Banks was able to defeat Becky Lynch with the Bank Statement just months after her main roster debut, before defeating Alicia Fox as part of the event in 2017 once again via submission.
