Owens was somehow fighting back and hit a Stunner on Reigns before Uso dragged him outside. KO sent Uso through the announce table with a pop-up powerbomb and buried him in the rubble before going up the ladder at TLC.

Reigns climbed up after Owens and hit a powerbomb on a ladder before putting him through one more table outside. Reigns hit a Samoan Drop through yet another table before hitting a spear in the ring through one more table.

Owens was still able to get up and dodged a spear as Reigns went straight through the barricades at TLC. Owens rushed up the ladder but Reigns dragged him back down. Owens hit superkicks before sending Reigns through a table.

Owens almost had the belt but Uso was back up. Owens hit a stunner and went back up but Reigns hit a low blow and locked in the Guillotine, making Owens pass out. Reigns went up and retrieved his title for the win at TLC.

Result: Roman Reigns def. Kevin Owens to retain the Universal Championship
